TEEN SPIRIT Font/name I have chosen the name teen spirit as indie music is all about being independent from the record label. This is much like when you become a teenager and start becoming independent from your parents and even beginning to rebel. The word spirit connotes energy and passion which would be targeted to people who have a real love for indie music. The name also relates to the rock song smells like teen spirit which would intertwine with the indie rock theme and the semi retro rock theme of the magazine. I chose this font because it gave a look of rebellion and it would also catch the eye of teenagers as there are not,many magazines that use a font like this so it will be fresh. Mojo Magazine: This magazine is a rock magazine it was first published in 1993. the first addition had John Lennon and Bob Dylan on the front cover. This would attract people to buy it as the were very popular artists at the time  It would be suitable for my avachara as he is into rock music. We see this from the way he is dresses and the fact he is holding an electric guitar which is a popular instrument to use in a rock band/song. Uses and Gratifications By bluer and Katz: He would use this magazine for entertainment as he enjoys rock music so he can read all about his favourite artists and new music that is coming out. He would also use it for personal identity as by reading this magazine he can find out more about his passion and maybe if he want to pursue a career in the music industry he can find out how. My avachara would also use this magazine for information about his favourite artists or bands and if they have any concerts coming up.

My Media Summer During my summer I instigated with a lot of media use. For example I watched films and TV series listened to new songs, listened to the radio and watched stories in the news. Films In summer 2018 Many films came out i saw mamma Mia 2 here we go again, Incredibles 2 and To all the boys i loved before. Mamma Mia 2- This film is the squeal to mamma Mia It follows the story of Donna when she was younger and how she ended up in Greece pregnant by one of three possible men. This story also shows us how Donna's daughter is turning the rundown hotel Donna used to own into a beautiful resort after Donna died. The target audience for this would be females aged 13-50 who enjoy singing and romance. Media research What constitutes as north London? What areas are included? North London is defined as part of England that is north of the river Thames. North London begins at Clerkwell and Finsbury to Hertfordshire. Places included Enfield, Camden,Haringey,and Barnet. What music venues are within those areas? Music Venues that are within those areas include Roundhouse, KOKO, Dublin Castle camden, Wembley arena, O2 arena.  Typically indie musicians would play at the roundhouse. This is because majority of the artists playing atr'nt very well known. This shows they are independents and break away from following the crowd as they are not working with a record label like majority of artists.
